It's so important to embrace who we are. I struggle with this everyday, but when I saw this it made me feel better and now I'm doing my best to repeat this every morning. I hope it helps you love yourself more too!
Two weeks ago Mike and I went to lil' Lucia's baby shower put together by her parents Leah & Luc. It was absolutely adorable! From the party favors they grew from seedlings themselves to the onezie art project, every aspect of the party was carefully thought out and beautifully crafted. To capture Lucia's mixed background from her French father and her Filipino mother there was a perfect blend of yummy food, from homemade lumpia to homemade pate and brie. Erika brought delicious sweets and were an adorable addition to the theme. I will definitely be "pinning" Leah's party pictures and asking her advice for the next party I throw. I attended college and lived with Leah and Erika, what seems like a million years ago and this past September Erika married her UCSB sweetheart and now we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Leah's lil' schmoo. I do everything I can to ensure that these words are the foundation of my business and my life. An idea that I don't think is embraced enough. I always want to do something more for you and not for my benefit but for a smile or laugh or just the simple satisifaction of you knowing that people still do good things just becuase they do good things. I challenge all of you to go out and do something a little extra for someone in your life, whether they are a stranger or your mother, make someone smile. :)
