When you’re having a destination wedding, the day before your big day shouldn’t be overlooked. This day is dedicated to the destination wedding experience, gathering your closest loved ones from near and far in a beautiful and exciting place with the sole purpose of having fun and enjoying each other’s company.
A Western Cowboy Celebration
Amanda and Coby are a family-lovin’, fun-lovin’, western couple who got married in Montana under the mountains and the trees and the blue, blue sky. But before the wedding, we had a wonderful day that I’m calling ‘The Experience’ – and that’s what I’m here to show you.
Montana Destination Wedding
We all stayed at the wedding venue, the Dunrovin Guest Ranch – some in the big house and some in RVs and tents. The day before the wedding was spent together, exploring the little towns of Lolo and Missoula, enjoying a delicious local pancake breakfast, riding horses, and best of all getting to know the wedding party and family.
All About Family
And when I say this couple is all about family, I mean that in the fullest sense of the word. Even the littlest nieces and nephews were included in this special day, and family was a highlight of almost every aspect of the wedding – but I’m getting ahead of myself there.
Rehearsal Day, Rehearsal Dinner
The rehearsal dinner at the end of a full day of adventuring was potluck and featured such goodies as fresh fried fish, homemade Basque soup (her family’s heritage), sausages and more. Amanda wore her grandmother’s wedding dress to the rehearsal. Do you begin to see what I mean about family?
I absolutely loved having a day to get to know the wedding party and family! It adds so much to the pictures when I have that rich backstory and feeling of different peoples’ personalities. And besides it was just a damn good time!
And if you think these pictures are awesome, I can’t wait to tell you all about the wedding…
