Amanda and Peter are the sweetest, most tender couple and their mellow Tuscan-esque wedding really let them shine! Their day was centered around family, friends, and of course their incredible love for each other.
Second Time’s a Charm
The first time the couple met was about 10 years ago through tennis, but they were both seeing other people and the timing just wasn’t right. Eight years later they met again, again through tennis, and this time everything lined up and they haven’t looked back since!
What Floats Their Boat
The pair loves boating on the Delta and cruising to the San Francisco Bay. In fact, Peter proposed on their very own cruiser on Amanda’s birthday – definitely a proposal to remember! Peter is active (a taekwondo black belt) and Amanda is artsy (she loves being the “official unofficial” photographer at events!).
A Highlands Estate Wedding
Amanda and Peter’s wedding was held at The Highlands Estate, a gorgeous hidden gem of a venue that’s tucked away in the Yorkville Highlands Valley. It had so many unique features: vineyards, groves of trees with rock outcroppings, a beautiful main house, and even wine barrels.
In the Details
All the details of the wedding came together beautifully – the color scheme of light and dark pinks and fuchsia, the candlelight, the lace details on the cake, and the florals by Accents by Sage, just for a start. Of course, I loved their signature drinks as well – Marry Me Mojitos and I Do Gin & Tonic.
Family Values
Family took center stage at the wedding – literally. The bridal party was made entirely of family members, and Peter’s daughter and Amanda’s niece were flower girls. Amanda’s sister made the wedding dress (wow, right?!?), let me tell you, when she revealed the dress there wasn’t a dry eye in the house and her 16-year-old nephew was the DJ.
It’s Accordi-on!
Peter plays the accordion, and his accordion teacher Dave Chelini was there to play before the ceremony, during the cocktail hour, and for their first dance – “La Vie En Rose.” Amazing!
Peter, Peter…
In addition to the AMAZING food and the exquisite lacey cake, Amanda asked the caterers (Preferred Sonoma Caterers) to make a pie for Peter – such a sweet touch, since he doesn’t really like cake. Just another way they are so loving to each other!
Congratulations, you two. May the wind be at your backs as you sail off into the sunset!
