“Is it possible for home to be a person and not a place?”― Stephanie Perkins, Anna and the French Kiss
Hold onto your hearts, children, because I have a tale of love so wild, so incredible, it will take your breath away. This is the story of Tyler & Andrea’s Boho Wedding on the California Coast.
Where it All Started
Andrea and Tyler met nearly a decade ago at the Presidio Social Club in San Francisco. Their story starts gently and crescendos to the intense, solid love they share today, a love that has taken them all over the world and will carry them forward into an unknown future.
Tyler is the sort of man you fall in love with. He cooks, he loves, he dreams and he doesn’t stand on ceremony. Andrea is a storyteller, a spinner of beauty and family and magic, and just generally loveable. Together they are forging a wildly broadened life, one mile at a time.
The Long Road to Freedom
Oh yes, something you should know: for the last year these two gorgeous people have simplified their life, living and traveling in a little white van. It turns out that home can be a person and not a place.
A Boho Wedding on the California Coast
The wedding was such a perfect reflection of these two and their relationship. Bohemian, wild, grounded yet free – everything from the shibori hand dyed napkins made by Andrea with her aunt, stepmom and soon-to-be mother-in-law to the handwritten signs was infused with them.
Andrea looked effortlessly beautiful in her dress from Daughters of Simone, Bryr shoes and gorgeous floral wreath by The Floral Times. And by that I mean she looked like a goddess of nature. I mean, look for yourself!
Slide Ranch is an amazing setting, nestled right on the coastal cliffs, and I loved it. It was truly the only place I can imagine these two tying the knot.
Here Come the Beloved
Instead of a processional they had a wedding march, leading their guests to the ceremony area overlooking the Pacific ocean. Their good friend officiated, and we all laughed and cried and laughed some more while we wiped our eyes.
Special mention also: their rings from Kendra Renee Jewelry were to die for. So pretty, so perfect.
Food was provided by the kickass Rachel Sillcocks and Kristina Compton and was simply amazing. The speeches were as wonderful as you would expect, and when people got out on the dance floor – well, let’s just say the guests knew how to bring a good time.
And Onward
Andrea & Tyler are off on their next adventure, and I am so privileged to have been a part of this grand send-off. Good luck, you two; and may you always find a home in each other.
