What an honor to attend and photograph Dave & Courtney’s Texas Fulford Barn wedding! You’ve already seen the day-before fun, so let’s dig in.
These are folks who know how to value their friends! I don’t think I’ve mentioned it before, but Courtney and Dave met at a friend’s wedding. The couple who set them up were both in their wedding party and the wedding was really all about their favorite people in one spot. In the end, it’s what made the day epic.
A Love Always Close to Your Heart
These two love each other so much. They are a perfect fit – playful, adventurous, tender and so madly in love. Dave keeps a letter from Courtney in his bulletproof vest pocket (he’s former military, now a police officer) so she is always close to his heart. In turn, Courtney sewed his military name patch inside her dress. Sometimes love is in all the little details.
A Blush & Ivory Fulford Barn Wedding
The decor, as befitted a Texas barn wedding, was shabby chic, with blush, ivory, and greenery everywhere. All of the flowers and decorations were done by Laura Mackey, owner of Fulford Barn.
There was so much family love; their moms started a sand pouring when they got down the aisle, and the couple finished it during the ceremony. Every time Courtney’s eyes met her mom’s, they both choked up. And the grandmas were the flower girls! They were driven in on a golf cart by Courtney’s brother. Absolutely adorable!
The food was delicious and everything you’d hope for at a Texas wedding! The caterer was Teresa Carr of It’s All About the Taste, and the food was ah-maze-ing. There were two cakes – a groom’s cake to honor Dave’s background plus the wedding cake – both made by Tasha Teel at The Cakery.
Courtney’s flawless makeup was done by Samantha Kubicek (Makeup by Sam) and hair was done by her best friend since she was 3 and Maid of Honor (The Beauty Box).
At the end of the night Dave and Courtney did a sprinkler exit. Dave threw Courtney over his shoulder in his favorite deadman’s carry which we’d already begun to master at their SF engagement session, then just to be a show off he did a few squats will she was up there! Like I said, playful.
Go on, you crazy lovebirds. Live your next adventure.
