Swipe Right Culture
Courtney and Kevin had matched online but never talked to each other until Courtney noticed that Kevin’s profile picture looked a lot like the album artwork of a band she had recently gotten into. When she made the first move of asking him if that album was the inspiration for his pic, he responded that it was and that nobody had ever guessed that reference before! An instant connection formed that lead to their first date.
They knew it was fate when they had taken a picture of the same graffiti in the bathroom to show each other. Kevin promised Courtney she could meet his cat on the first several dates, but Zoe, the cat declined. She likes to play hard to get 😉
Fast forward three apartments and three cats later, including Zoe, these two cuties set the date for their Deer Park Villa Fairfax Wedding for a gorgeous spring day! This wedding is the perfect blend of Courtney and Kevin’s backgrounds and common interests, and obviously, the wedding incorporated their fur babies.
These two are the perfect amount of tender, goofy, and loving with each other and I am excited to share their wedding day details!
Deer Park Villa Wedding Fairfax
Courtney and Kevin had been planning this wedding for a year and a half with the help of Makenna Stevens of Perfectly Planned Moments, and it was a real treat for both bride and groom to see all the moving pieces of their wedding play out perfectly! Their wedding infused Jewish and Chinese culture by having the breaking of the glass, the Hora (chair dance), and a badass Chinese Lion Dance by the Jing Mo Athletic Association. It was amazing!
Guests arrived in formal attire, and Deer Park Villa was decorated in gorgeous flowers courtesy of Courtney’s bridesmaid who works for Church Steet Flowers, and did a fabulous job!
Music is a big deal to Courtney and Kevin, so it’s no surprise that their music choices where very deliberate and celebrated their love beautifully! Courtney looked so stunning in her Essense of Australia wedding dress and hair and makeup by Jireh Artistry when she walked down the aisle to “La Belle Fleur Savage” by Lord Huron.
The newlyweds walked back down the aisle to the song “Our Retired Explorer” covered by Spraynard, which is the band that brought them together! Ironically, their officiant, Mike Park, is the owner of Asain Man Records who released music by Spraynard. Small world!
It’s no secret that Kevin and Courtney love their cats. Even though their little fluffballs couldn’t be in attendance themselves, their presence was felt! They were featured as custom cake toppers by Krumb Cakes, picture props of them for the photo booth, and were a hot topic of discussion!
Courtney and Kevin’s Deer Park Villa wedding was the purrrfect melting pot of their love and the best way to celebrate their union. Congratulations you two!
