And then they took the party to back home to Ohio and guess who they brought with them? Me and I brought my Momma!!!
So one day, not too long after we had a blast shooting their engagement session, they ask me out to a glass of wine and asked me one of the coolest things ever. “Want to shoot our awesome SF Synagogue wedding, then fly out to Ohio in the middle of the most gorgeous season ever and shoot our wedding in the woods at an epic cabin and stay with us and some of our favorite people?” YES PLEASE!
You can often find me preaching about the importance of making your wedding a representation of who you two are. It’s like a huge diorama, the coolest one you’ll ever make and these two knocked it out of the park. From the the cabin filled with their favorite people, to the florals they purchased on the way to the cabin, which Julie’s dad used to make the bouquets and boutonnieres, to the Tater-tot-chos (YUM!), to the beer brewed especially for them and this celebration, to the catered buffet from Dirty Franks Hot Dogs, to the music by one of their besties DJ Moxy, to the edible Scrabble pieces on their cake spelling out “Level Up.” I could go on for days!
What an honor, to be invited into the intimate moments that surround the days before and after a wedding day. These two sure know how to make girl and her momma feel special 🙂
I am so damn happy for you two and all the adventures that you’re going to go on together. Hugs, kisses and whiskey to you both! Cheers!
