MoAD’s Afropolitan Ball 2024 Dance Floor

The energy was electric at the 2024 Afropolitan Ball, a celebration of Black brilliance hosted by the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) on October 5, 2024. As a San Francisco event photographer, Chloe Jackman Photography had the privilege of capturing the vibrant atmosphere, from the classy cocktail hour to the electric dance floor.

For years, it had been Chloe's dream to photograph the Afropolitan Ball, and to finally be a part of this incredible event was truly a dream come true. The evening was a dazzling display of creativity, bringing together a diverse crowd of artists, philanthropists, and community leaders. It was inspiring to witness the support for MoAD's vital mission to celebrate Black cultures, ignite challenging conversations, and inspire learning through the global lens of the African Diaspora.

Our goal as event photographers was to document the evening's magic, capturing candid moments of guests enjoying the festivities, documenting the live auction, and creating stunning portraits of key attendees and MoAD leadership. One of Chloe’s favorite moments was capturing the genuine joy on the faces of guests as they mingled and celebrated. The sheer energy of the room was palpable, and it was a privilege to be a part of it.

The Afropolitan Ball is not only a social highlight but also a crucial fundraiser for MoAD, supporting their vital mission. It was truly an honor to contribute to this important charity event and help showcase the impact of MoAD's work.
