Seriously, engagement photos at the Palace of Fine Arts always turn out so enchanting, sexy, and fun.
Fall Engagement Photos at the Palace of Fine Arts
I recently shot Brittany and Chuck’s fall engagement photos at the Palace of Fine Arts, and I can’t get over how great they turned out.
The day of their shoot the fall wind picked up like crazy but these two leaned into it and we came out with extra special shots on the other side. Like any Palace of Fine Arts San Francisco shoot, we were able to get shots with a ton of different back drops that were almost as gorgeous as the fiancés.
Fall Engagement Photo Outfits
There’s no one way to dress for fall engagement photos. Some people prefer a more “California Casual” look with jeans and sundresses. Others, like Chuck and Brittany, opt for more formal style. And as you can see, it really paid off here.
One of the elements that worked the best was Brittany’s flowing gown. Clothing and hair blowing together in the wind? Yes, please! Another thing that really works here is their color coordination. They chose outfits that look great next to each other but don’t look too matchy. It’s also fun to bring a few small, signature props to play with. Like Chuck’s sunglasses and cigar.
And remember, if you’re shooting in SF in the fall, always bring a jacket to throw on between shoots.
Smart Love: The Story Behind the Photos
This brainy couple met in Atlanta in 2016. They were introduced by a friend when Brittany was looking for a place to stay. Brittany was just finishing her undergrad education and Chuck was wrapping up grad school. When they met, they were immediately drawn to each other’s minds. They went out for a drink that turned into a lifetime partnership based on respect and exceptional conversations!
And Brittany had some super sweet feedback after our day together. She said, “If you are looking for a talented, upbeat, and all-around good vibes photographer, I would suggest booking Chloe … She hyped us up the entire time and made me feel comfortable. Usually, I am terrible in front of a camera, but she made sure I felt and looked my best.” Thanks girl! That’s always what I’m going for.
I hope you enjoy the photos from my shoot with this very classy couple.
